Work From Home Success Stories
Kaeser & Blair has been in business for over 125 years, and we know a thing or two about succeeding as a work-from-home business owner. Our most successful owners have a few things in common: they’re passionate about promotional products, they’re excellent at customer service, and they’re always looking for ways to improve their businesses.
Because the Kaeser & Blair Business Owners program affords you the opportunity to have total control over your schedule and earnings, it’s the perfect solution for those who don’t want to have to go to an office. It’s great for parents who have made the decision to stay at home. Our working parents consistently tell us how much they value the opportunity to share in their child’s development with the business ownership program.
If you’re thinking about starting a home business, we encourage you to watch these videos to hear firsthand from some of our most successful work-from-home Business Owners about why they love Kaeser & Blair.
Sally Anderson: Stay at Home Mom
K&B Dealer Sally Anderson was looking for stay-at-home mom jobs that she could take from part-time to full-time as the kids grew. She found a perfect fit in direct B2B sales with promotional products.
“The best thing is the back office support. There is no way in this world I could invoice customers, figure out sales tax, and setting up accounts with new vendors—I’m not good at that stuff. I know I am not good at keeping up with money and finances; I like to make money—spend money, but I don’t want to balance everything.”
“So, the back office support and knowing that if something does go wrong, they’ll help me fix it, and I am not accountable for some huge order that could go wrong. And, they’ve been in business for 125 years, so they have a name in this industry, whereas little Sally Anderson from Georgia doesn’t have that name but as a part of Kaeser & Blair I definitely get those perks of going with Kaeser.”
New to the industry, Arlene was able to start a new career and make a profit right away with Kaeser & Blair.
Stephanie Walter: Corporate Sales
Stephanie has been an authorized dealer for 19 years and previously worked in consumer product sales. She became a dealer after she was laid off from her dream job in corporate sales when she had a one-week-old baby.
After staying home with her kids, she wanted more. Her husband ordered the trial kit for her and she immediately returned it, but then a friend called the next day and let her know that she needed to order a lot of items for a golf tournament. So, she called Kaeser & Blair back and got started with everything she needed to write the order, and she’s been doing this ever since.
Here’s an interview with 2019 Kaeser & Blair Sales Leader Stephanie Walter.
Interviewer: How quickly did you start seeing profits?
Walter: You know, you start seeing profits immediately, because you have no overhead in this business. Being that K&B is our business partner, they carry all the insurance we need, and you can just go out and sell and earn the commissions. You can start with nothing—that’s what I did. I was home with my little kids, and I just built on it every year. Once you get a client, and you treat them right, they realize they want to come back to you.
Interviewer: What has been the best part about working with Kaeser & Blair?
Walter: The ability to have financial freedom. It allowed me to get a divorce but still support a family without someone else. Flexibility, and how much money you can make because there is nobody telling you what you can and cannot do.
Interviewer: How flexible is this business?
Walter: Super flexible! So, I love to travel, and I travel all over the country, and all I have to have with me is my laptop. I travel all the time and as long as I have my laptop, I can work. And, everyone is a client, and usually wherever I go, I make a sale.
Interviewer: Where do you find your clients?
Watler: Well, I’m a networker, so I find my clients anywhere I go. One of my first clients was a place that I had to have my tooth pulled, and that oral surgeon is still my client 19 years later. Anyone! You go to the doctor and you ask them where they get their pens—you know, I always have my cards with me, and I leave it for them with a Best Buys or Windjammer. A bunch of my friends from college are clients because I post on Facebook what I do.
Denise May is no stranger to the promotional products industry, but when her former boss retired, she found a way to keep doing what she was good at and make a much larger profit with no overhead.
“They’ve got my back. They do my paperwork; they do my invoicing. They do the receivables; they have all the computer programming. I have no overhead. The profits are bigger than they were at the other company I was with before. I work from my home office now. We go on vacation; I take my computer. I can go on vacation and I can still work with Kaeser. It’s perfect.”
Along with the ease of working with Kaeser & Blair, Denise says she has seen massive growth in profits since making the switch. “Before, I didn’t see the financial benefits that I have with Kaeser. They pay immediately. At my previous company, I only got paid thirty days after my customer paid. When I took an order, it could be three months before I saw the commission. With Kaeser, it’s immediate.”
Nicole Campbell: Stay at Home Mom
Nicole Campbell thinks Kaeser & Blair is the ideal stay-at-home mom job. She loves the flexibility of working on her own schedule while caring for her young daughter.
“It’s allowed me to create my own hours. […] I can work whatever hours I want to work. I mean, the money is what it comes down to in the end. That’s I mean, really, that truly is it. Fortunately, I work in an industry where I can do both. I can still stay home with her, raise her. I don’t want a daycare raising her. I can raise her and I can still provide, you know, for the family. It’s it’s simple. It’s simplified compared to where I was from. It’s an easy thing. I know exactly what’s going to happen, and I get paid quickly. I have fun.”
“You don’t have the answer to anybody. You can spend time with your family, which really, truly should be number one on everybody’s list. They provide me with handling the logistics of everything. Things that I didn’t have to worry about—getting set up on terms with vendors or the relationships that they’ve had—those are things that would have been extremely difficult for me to do if I were on my own. You’ve got to be able to just overcome any challenges because you’re going to meet so many people. You can’t just expect accounts to, you know, just land on your lap. You have to work for them. But if you have the personality and the perseverance to just go out there and I mean join networking groups, meet people, it’ll be amazing.”
